My Year in Canada - A Life-Changing Working Holiday

Welcome everyone,

I honestly don’t even know where to start or how to fit an entire year into just a few pages.
But let’s try.

It all began on November 5th in Vancouver. Stepping into Canada for the first time felt surreal. I had planned my Working Holiday year for so long. It had been a dream for most of my life — ever since I was 18 — and at age 25 it finally became reality.

To be fair, my travel journey started way before that. At 22 I worked on a cruise ship and got my first taste of seeing the world. The following year I spent a summer working in a camp in the United States, and afterwards I travelled the US with the friends I met there. I was dreaming about all of it — working on a cruise ship, experiencing „Camp Rock“ in real life — and everything came true.

But this time, I wanted something different. Before leaving Germany, I promised myself that I wouldn’t go back to my old profession. I wanted to keep travelling and working until I found something I truly wanted to do with my life. And as soon as I arrived in Canada, I felt that I would return home with a completely new mindset.
